Time to transition into spring decor!

Yay! Spring has sprung. Bring on the warm weather! Well, maybe not in all places, but we are getting very close to warmer weather and I love that it represents the feeling of renew and refresh. It’s a time where the buds on the trees get ready to bloom and the colorful flowers prepare to sprout. Color once again enters from the dreary cold and drab winters that we are headed out of soon. So, since Spring has officially sprung and summer is on its way, how about giving your home a new and refreshing look this season by bringing in some beautiful Spring colors? Let the SUNSHINE in!

Before you start adding some Spring into your décor, begin the process with an overall declutter in your home. You know… a little Spring cleaning and getting rid of things no longer needed. Declutter alone helps makes the space have a new and refreshing vibe, not to mention adding a few newer items into the space. Spring always means a transformation to me as we begin to take out the old and refresh with the new.

By no means does this have to become an expensive project you take on. You can start with a few simple items to transform your home for Spring and Summer.

Throw Pillows

Really, who can resist a good throw pillow?! They are a great way to add color, patterns, and texture to a space. Grab some pillows that represent your personality, from a new bold color to a soft pattern that fits in the space. I can tell you; pillows are one of my top décor obsessions and I love to change them out when I can. They range in many price ranges, but over-all it’s an affordable luxury to liven up the space that you’ll love.

Beautiful Florals & Greenery

Well Spring is about to arrive, so let’s bring in some beautiful and colorful blooms and greenery. Adding pops of color in vases on tables, brings the outside in. Not sure about the florals, add pops of greenery and plants instead. It gives your home of feeling life. And don’t forget about adding a wreath to the front door. I know, I know, this is technically outside of the home, but it is the first sight of welcoming when entering the home.

Candles & Scents

Believe or not, candles make a great change and presents in the home. From candle pillars, votives, and decorative candles in jars and beautiful bowls that not only have a beautiful view with its ambiance when lit but also from the scent that arises from them, setting a complete mood in your home. Don’t forget you can also add other items with scents to the space such as diffusors, décor plug-ins with scented wax melts, and room sprays for that fresh smell you love.

Area Rugs

Replace the area rug you have or add one to an existing room that needs one. This will give the room a new feel, as well with added dimension and visual interest. Choose a color and pattern that complements your existing furniture, style, and décor.
